Forgotten Little Dream

A dream that doesn't need a soundless sleep to happen.

I actually never thought that I can draw or paint because I never thought I can be good at it, but other's who had seen me do it and had it done for a purpose, like I am bored being left alone at home,  and to make my mind and hands in connections to be busy and not think of any other  depressing thoughts, told me to pursue it. ♥♥♥

"Every human is an artist. The dream of my life is to make beautiful art."

- Artwork with kids when they were still in grade school

Now... aaah, I felt so happy I had these saved. I remembered visiting Nanay at Tatay during that time in their home at Exodus, Floodway. My children were playing together with their cousins, by the way my siblings also lives in Exodus, Flodway near Tatay at Nanay. I Invited them to make an artwork using manang Gilda 's retaso. Cut and Paste with the design that was created what was on their mind spontaneously and simultaneously (walang kaabog-abog at tuloy-tuloy).

This was Bambina's work, it's made of cloth courtesy of Manang Gilda's retaso ...she cut and pasted it to a bond paper.

Em's work, also made of cut-out cloth.

Mama ang Nica (grade II at that time)... made of a cut-out cloth.

My Nica's drawing and colored with crayons

The last but not the least...

Aside from saving these, I also wanted to share and be proud of these wonderful memories.

Calaguas Island : Smiley Wandering Soles set foot on 'Long Beach'

"Calaguas is a common reference to a group of islands, northeast of VinzonsCamarines NorteParacale and Daet towns in Camarines Norte in the Philippines. It is composed of three major islands; Tinaga Island, Guintinua Island and Maculabo Island and other small islets. Tinaga Island is the most popular to backpackers from Manila and elsewhere due to its famous white sand beach called Mahabang Buhangin, which literally means 'long beach'. Mahabang Buhangin rivals the fine sands of Boracay, a popular tourist destination in Malay." - Source: WikiTravel

It was not planned actually.

One day, my son asked his father if he can make a budgeted travel tour to Calaguas Island, Camarines Norte for his co-workers, a group of ten young men.  My son father readily said 'Yes' and make a package tour for them to approve and was approved. And of course, I'm going with them since there is an available space for me :) aside from another four invited travelers, who are a constant companion, to fill in the tour that should be around 15.

Here we are, Thursday night meeting at Jollibee Taytay at around 12PM. Exactly at before midnight we hit the road to Camarines Norte where Calaguas Island nestled

I never thought that passing this road "Bitukang Manok' could be this bad as we were also passing the upper road (original "bitukang manok") to get there quickly. I can't sleep the whole night as I felt dizzy and I almost through up.
photo grab from Google

We get to Calaguas Island via Paracale, CamNorte by boat for 2 hours since one of us ( @Janelle Kim ) is a native of this Municipality. Boat rental was around 6,000 to 8,000.

  • Trekking

Trekking is a must try when in Calaguas Island. The views up there are breathtaking based on
cardinal position/location (north, south, east, west)

... Entrance or entry point  to mountain trekking and of course there's an entrance fee of 20.00 pesos for maintenance.

Two gentleman... Yeaaah! they're still alive... boy scout and an endemic species hihihi

  • Resting area to chat and enjoy the fresh air, just below the summit.

copycat nor a duplicate of the previous.

  • Camping
... You can go camping but native cottages on this side are as low as 500.00 pesos that can
accommodate of  up to 15+ on sitting position. But there several resorts here that offers air
