"Calaguas is a common reference to a group of islands, northeast of Vinzons, Camarines Norte, Paracale and Daet towns in Camarines Norte in the Philippines. It is composed of three major islands; Tinaga Island, Guintinua Island and Maculabo Island and other small islets. Tinaga Island is the most popular to backpackers from Manila and elsewhere due to its famous white sand beach called Mahabang Buhangin, which literally means 'long beach'. Mahabang Buhangin rivals the fine sands of Boracay, a popular tourist destination in Malay." - Source: WikiTravel
It was not planned actually.
One day, my son asked his father if he can make a budgeted travel tour to Calaguas Island, Camarines Norte for his co-workers, a group of ten young men. My son father readily said 'Yes' and make a package tour for them to approve and was approved. And of course, I'm going with them since there is an available space for me :) aside from another four invited travelers, who are a constant companion, to fill in the tour that should be around 15.
Here we are, Thursday night meeting at Jollibee Taytay at around 12PM. Exactly at before midnight we hit the road to Camarines Norte where Calaguas Island nestled
I never thought that passing this road "Bitukang Manok' could be this bad as we were also passing the upper road (original "bitukang manok") to get there quickly. I can't sleep the whole night as I felt dizzy and I almost through up.
